Hurricane Ike

Here it is Sunday evening already and having experienced my first hurricane in Indiana! Actually it is just the remainder of Hurricane Ike which hit the golf of Mexico and hit Texas very hard on Friday and Saturday. With 100mph + winds, it didn't take the rains long to get to IN & MI. All day long, off and on (mostly on) there were downpours of rain. On Saturday morning I dumped 3.5" of rain out of my rain gauge. I can see the gauge from the living room window and I can see that it is almost ready to run over again which means it is close to 4" of rain in it.

I'm trying to figure out this blogging thing because I want to post some of my x-stitching pictures on it. Today I finished part one of 8 Christmas ornaments that I am making for gifts this year. I will post a picture once I get them finished.
